Working in the field of athletics, specifically college basketball, I have had to sacrifice many holiday moments with family. However, I have had a chance to travel the world and experience people, places and moments that I will forever be thankful for.
This Christmas season, this mountain boy finds himself in Hawaii. Not my ideal Christmas, especially since it is a business trip with LMU playing in three games at the Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic.
In making the most of it, I got to experience another amazing natural wonder, this time with a friend and broadcaster Jesse Kass. We both were in awe. We had a chance to visit Diamond Head (Le’ahi) State Monument. Despite getting poured on heading back to the hotel, neither of us would have skipped this.
